About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead to lead our Legal, Compliance, and Contract Management functions globally. This leadership role is critical in ensuring the companys legal soundness, regulatory compliance, and effective management of contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in corporate law, compliance frameworks, and contract lifecycle management, coupled with strong leadership and analytical skills to advise senior management and drive enterprise-wide governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Legal & Compliance Leadership
- Provide strategic legal counsel and guidance to senior management on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Anticipate, assess, and mitigate potential legal and compliance risks across business operations.
- Develop and implement proactive legal and compliance strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish and maintain a robust compliance framework, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct periodic audits, risk assessments, and internal investigations to ensure compliance and ethical business practices.
- Serve as the companys liaison with external legal counsel, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage intellectual property portfolios, including filings, renewals, and enforcement strategies.
Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
- Oversee the full contract lifecyclefrom drafting, negotiation, and execution to renewal and termination.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized contract templates, playbooks, and approval workflows.
- Manage a centralized contract repository, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and data integrity.
- Review and negotiate key commercial terms to safeguard company interests.
- Monitor ongoing contractual compliance, deliverables, and renewal timelines.
- Generate periodic reports and insights on contract performance, risk exposure, and revenue alignment.
- Leverage CLM tools and automation to enhance efficiency and visibility across contract processes.
Risk Management & Policy Development
- Identify and mitigate legal, operational, and compliance risks through well-defined policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement company-wide legal and compliance policies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure all policies are effectively communicated, understood, and enforced across the organization.
- Maintain high standards of ethics, integrity, and corporate governance.
Training & Awareness
- Design and conduct training programs on compliance, data protection, and contract best practices.
- Promote a culture of ethical conduct and continuous compliance education across the company.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelors degree in Law (LL.B) required; Masters in Law (LL.M) or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Legal, Compliance, and Contract Management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and administration within a corporate or global environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance standards, and data privacy laws.
- Experience developing and managing compliance programs and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Proficiency in contract management and workflow automation tools (e.g., Ironclad, Icertis, DocuSign CLM, or similar).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
