As an AI Engineer, you will lead the machine learning aspects of the project, focusing on model development, fine-tuning, and integration to create seamless user experiences. You'll collaborate with embedded systems engineers to ensure models run efficiently on hardware, balancing accuracy, speed, and resource constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build custom machine learning models for detection tasks, ensuring high accuracy in diverse environments (e.g., noisy backgrounds, varying inputs).
  • Fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for specialized synthesis tasks, integrating them with output generation systems to produce personalized results.
  • Prepare and curate custom datasets for training, including data collection, preprocessing, augmentation, and ethical sourcing to support model robustness.
  • Implement and optimize search and indexing functionalities, such as inverted indexes, vector embeddings, and relevance ranking, tailored for query handling and multimodal data.
  • Collaborate on end-to-end pipeline integration, providing AI insights to reduce latency while maintaining model performance.
  • Conduct experiments, evaluate models using metrics like precision/recall and latency benchmarks, and iterate based on real-world testing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with hands-on work in signal/sensory processing (e.g., recognition, generation).
  • Proficiency in Python and frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Strong knowledge of dataset preparation, including tools for annotation and augmentation (e.g., libraries for data handling).
  • Understanding of search and indexing principles (e.g., Elasticsearch, FAISS for vector search).
  • Experience with fine-tuning LLMs for specialized tasks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with real-time protocols and formats from an AI integration perspective.
  • Experience deploying ML models on edge devices or optimizing for low-latency inference.
  • Knowledge of ethical AI practices, especially in data handling and privacy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
