Position: Piping & pipe support Engineer (On Third-party payroll position)

Base Location: Gurugram

Qualification: Diploma/ Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or other comparable degree

Experience:

  • Experience Should minimum four (4) years in Process engineering, in the field of Power Plant / Steam Turbine area with depth knowledge of steam piping
  • Piping & pipe support design Total Experience of 5 to 10 years for BE and 7 to 12 years for Diploma Holder.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to travel globally
  • Excellent team player to support and serve the global team
  • High flexibility in taking new tasks/responsibilities
  • Proactive and Solution Oriented. Ability to Pull inputs and interact with interface partners.
  • Excellent communication skills, Excellent English language skills
  • Interaction with internal partners and customers requires good communication skills.
  • Software knowledge; - (3D ) OPEN PLANT /E3D or PDMS software & (2D) AutoCAD / MicroStation.

Job tasks include:

  • Piping planning as per P&ID.
  • Isometric / prefab isometric preparation.
  • Isometric checking.
  • Support modeling in 3D & Support drawing preparation in 2D. for critical pipeline & noncritical pipeline.
  • Preparation piping GAD in 2D from extract 3D.
  • Must have experience reading stress resistant summaries.
  • Vendor drawings review, exp- tank drawing /pump drawing/pipeline component / Heat Exchangers, Heaters etc.
  • Understand customer Specifications / Contract, HBDs
  • Preparation of P&ID
  • Line Sizing, MOC selection and pipe wall thickness calculation
  • Prepare specifications of Turbine Auxiliaries
  • Technical Evaluation of offers
  • Prepare specifications of Valves (MOV, Control, Bypass, On-Off, SRV etc.) and Flow Elements
  • Prepare valve and specialty schedule
  • Technical Co-ordination with suppliers

Employment Type: Contractual for 1 year and can be extendable.
