Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced
Data Architect
to define and implement the target data architecture for migrating legacy
Spotfire reports to Power BI
. This includes data source mapping, semantic model design, and the development of standardized architectural patterns across business units. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in BI platform architecture, Power BI, semantic layer modeling, and large-scale enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the
    target-state architecture
    for BI reports across enterprise data platforms.
  • Recommend
    architectural patterns
    for semantic layers and Power BI models.
  • Design
    standard schema strategies
    (e.g., star, snowflake, direct query vs. import).
  • Assess data source
    complexity, performance
    , and
    governance
    requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and Power BI developers to
    build PoC report models
    .
  • Advise on platform
    limitations, usage boundaries
    , and
    enterprise readiness
    .
  • Ensure compliance with
    data governance and architectural review standards
    .

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in
    enterprise data architecture
    .
  • Expertise in
    Power BI
    ,
    DAX
    , and
    semantic model optimization
    .
  • Proficiency in working with
    cloud data sources
    , such as:
  • SQL DB
  • Azure Synapse
  • Snowflake
  • Data Lake
  • Experience in
    designing for high-scale BI platforms
    .
  • Strong
    stakeholder engagement
    and
    documentation
    skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
