Position Overview
The Software Engineer in Test II will work with product managers to understand the customer needs, design the functionalities, and translate requirements to test plans. Evaluate risks in the system, build and optimize automation frameworks to guard the robustness, scalability and security of the micro-services that power our SaaS platform. Also, will develop tools that make our development, testing, deployment, and monitoring 
systems efficient. Have the full power of AWS at your disposal while you focus on building and testing Serverless solutions (either brand new or assisting in migrating services to Serverless).

Key Responsibilities

  • Automated testing (using Robot Framework or similar) of our existing test suites and new feature test
    suites.
  • Support manual functional, regression and cross-browser exploratory testing.
  • Understands specifications, can draw up test scenarios, create regression test cases with the
    responsibility for the test asset library and updates test cases as needed.
  • Executes test cases and analyses test results. Interrogating failed scenarios and accurately record
    defects following them through to resolution.
  • Generates test approaches and provides test estimates for work to be completed.
  • Establish processes and toolset to maintain automation executions and generate quality metric and
    test reports.
  • Integrate test automation with build and delivery pipeline.
  • Demonstrates strong technical capabilities with solid experience in working in at least one domain
  • Ability to complete well defined stories independently, understands the technology, framework and
    codebase/tools (depending on the role) the team is using.
  • Able to contribute to others' work, e.g. code or test reviews.
  • Monitors and improves the stability of the codebase owned by the team

Required Experience/Skills

  • 4-6 years of automated testing experience in testing web applications
  • Degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar discipline
  • Strong working experience of QA, test concepts, best practice, and technology
  • Hands on working experience designing and extending test frameworks based on open-source test
    framework stacks such as Cypress, Selenium, K6, Jest. Junit.
  • Experience of test management tools (e.g. JIRA, Zephyr)
  • Good communication and collaboration skills – able to explain and champion the principles of a
    quality deliverable

Preferred Experience/Skills

  • ISQTB Foundation Certificate
  • Programming experience in Cypress/C#/Angular/Typescript
  • Experience with JMeter
