Job Title: MIS Executive / Business Analyst – Jewellery Retail (Male candidate only)

Department: Management Information Systems (MIS)

Location: Coimbatore

Reports To: CEO / Head – Operations

Salary : 2.5 Lacs – 4 Lacs per annum based on experience,skills, knowledge and attitude.

Position Overview:

The MIS Executive will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and presenting daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports from all departments (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, HR, Accounts, and Marketing). The role requires strong analytical ability, advanced Excel expertise, and proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau, to support strategic decision-making by top management.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Consolidation

• Collect daily, weekly, and monthly reports from all department heads (Sales, Purchase, Stock, HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.).
• Validate data accuracy and ensure timely submission of MIS reports.
• Maintain a centralized database for all key performance metrics.

Report Preparation & Analysis

• Prepare consolidated dashboards and summaries for management review.
• Analyze sales trends, stock movement, manpower cost, and operational KPIs.
• Provide actionable insights and highlight variances or exceptions.
• Generate Daily Sales Report (DSR), Monthly Performance Summary, and CEO Dashboard.

Data Visualization & Automation

• Develop automated dashboards using Power BI and Tableau.
• Create dynamic Excel models, pivot tables, macros, and charts for management presentations.
• Continuously improve MIS templates and data accuracy.

Coordination with Departments

• Liaise with department heads to ensure smooth data flow and timely reporting.
• Train department teams on standard MIS formats and data submission protocols.
• Support HODs in data-driven decision making and performance tracking.

Strategic Support

• Assist the CEO and senior management with ad hoc data analysis.
• Provide inputs for budget preparation, profitability reports, and business forecasts.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all management data.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP, Power Query, Power Pivot, Macros).
• Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau for dashboard and data visualization.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and presentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle large data sets.
• Effective communication and interdepartmental coordination skills.
• Knowledge of Jewellery retail data metrics (sales, VA, stock, GRN, purchase, etc.) preferred.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Statistics, Data Analytics, or Business Administration.
• 3–6 years of experience in MIS / Business Analytics, preferably in the Jewellery or Retail industry.
• Experience in working with ERP systems (Jewellery ERP preferred).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Timeliness and accuracy of daily/monthly MIS reports.
• Quality and clarity of Power BI/Tableau dashboards.
• Reduction in reporting errors and manual data entry.
• Management satisfaction with data insights and presentation quality.
• Implementation of process automation and reporting improvements.
