Role & responsibilities :-

  • Plan, organize, and direct all engineering and maintenance operations of the property.
  • Lead, train, and supervise the engineering and maintenance team.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure proper functioning of utilities such as water, electricity, gas, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Oversee repair, renovation, and refurbishment projects within the hotel.
  • Monitor energy usage and implement energy conservation programs to reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance certifications.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized services.
  • Work closely with other departments to support operational needs.
  • Manage departmental budget and control maintenance expenses.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate the engineering staff.
  • Assign and monitor daily tasks to the engineering team.
  • Promote teamwork, professional growth, and a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support when required.
  • Ensure all systems and facilities comply with local, state, and national building codes, health and safety standards, and fire regulations.
  • Conduct regular fire drills and emergency equipment testing in coordination with safety officers.
  • Keep records of licenses, permits, certifications, and compliance reports.
