Senior AWS Data Engineer (PySpark & Airflow)

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 6+ Years

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer with strong expertise in PySpark and Airflow to design, build, and manage large-scale data pipelines on AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud-native data engineering, data warehousing, and orchestration, along with a strong understanding of modern data architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using PySpark on AWS.
  • Implement and manage workflow orchestration with Airflow.
  • Work with AWS-native services for data storage, processing, and transformation.
  • Build and optimize data warehousing solutions to support analytics and reporting.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability across all pipelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers).
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production workloads for performance and stability.

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in PySpark and distributed data processing.
  • Proficiency with Airflow for orchestration.
  • Solid experience with AWS cloud services for data engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and implementation.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Informatica.
  • Familiarity with medallion architecture for data lakehouse design.
