The Role: Impact & Responsibilities
We are seeking a creative, digitally-savvy Social Media Intern to help us manage and grow our online community. This role is crucial for showcasing the joy, companionship, and high-quality experiences our members enjoy, and for bridging the generational gap online.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Generate engaging, original content (graphics, short videos, stories, and posts) for all major platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Focus: Travel highlights, member testimonials, "Day in the Life" of a senior, and quick tips on care/wellness.
- Community Management: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and professionally across all social channels, fostering a positive and interactive online community.
- Content Scheduling & Analysis: Utilize scheduling tools to ensure consistent posting. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) like engagement, reach, and follower growth, reporting insights and suggesting improvements.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices, especially concerning content that appeals to both senior citizens and their caregiving families.
- Campaign Support: Assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns and promotions designed to drive membership sign-ups and event attendance.
Who You Are (Required Skills & Qualifications)
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related creative field.
- Strong understanding and active personal use of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
- Proven ability to create visually appealing content using tools like Canva, Adobe Express, or basic video editing software (e.g., InShot, CapCut).
- Excellent written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Empathy and a genuine interest in the senior lifestyle and care segment is a significant plus.
