Job Summary

This role is responsible for:

  • Development & UT on Microfocus COBOL, CICS, IMS, VSAM, JCL
  • Training existing mainframe developers on team on MF ES, ED
  • Retrofit BAU changes into MF code version, clean compile and test them
  • Testing phases ST,SIT,OAT,UAT, PT and UVT Support
  • Batch execution for testing cycles
  • Implementation and post implementation support

  • The potential candidate for this role should:

4-7 YEARS EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience working on MF COBOL compilers and language sets to edit, compile and execute COBOL, JCL, CICS & IMS/DB2 workloads on Enterprise Developer
  • Good understanding of commands for bringing up/ down ES instance and application regions
  • Knowledge of GitHub or an equivalent (ADO) for SCM on x86 is an added advantage

Knowledge on Micro Focus utilities for file, DB, abend handling and their integration in runtime environments

  • Prior experience in migrating mainframe workload to Micro Focus Enterprise Server
  • Knowledge on MQ and webservices interfaces from ES to external systems
  • Trade Finance/Banking Domain
