Position Summary:
We're seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our cutting-edge products and the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering combined with a passion for sales and customer engagement. You'll play a key role in expanding our market presence and delivering tailored solutions that empower our customers.
Key Responsibilities:1. Sales and Business Development:
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the electric induction motor sector, both domestically and internationally.
- Client Acquisition: Develop strategies to attract potential clients in various industries such as manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure.
- Sales Targets: Achieve and surpass sales goals set by the management, contributing to overall company growth.
2. Technical Consultation:
- Product Expertise: Provide in-depth technical knowledge about electric induction motors to clients, explaining features, benefits, and applications.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and propose customized solutions that meet their operational requirements.
3. Relationship Management:
- Client Retention: Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- After-Sales Support: Offer ongoing technical support and address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain trust and loyalty.
4. Collaboration and Coordination:
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with the engineering, production, and R&D teams to align product offerings with market demands.
- Feedback Loop: Relay customer feedback and market insights to internal teams to drive product development and improvement.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
- Sales Reports: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress towards targets.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.
6. Presentations and Negotiations:
- Proposals: Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, presentations, and demonstrations to potential clients.
- Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate contracts and terms of sale to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
Qualifications:Education:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. A master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Experience:
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in technical sales within the electric motors or industrial equipment industry.
- Track Record: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and develop strong client relationships.
Technical Skills:
- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of electric induction motors, their functionalities, and industrial applications.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings, and translate them into customer solutions.
Soft Skills:
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate with team members.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions.
- Time Management: Capable of managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
Other Requirements:
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the sales territory and occasionally beyond.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Technology: Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office Suite.
