Role Description
- Reconciliation Transformation Program has a requirement for a Data Analyst to support the continuous improvement work stream within CB&S-GTO
- The Data Analyst is responsible for working within the information Transformation group, participating in a team responsible for report generation and data analysis utilizing database management software/tools against various database platforms. In this role you will assist in the development of automated reports, analytical and management reports, and data definitions across multiple computing environments. You will develop technical expertise in data mining and report development methodologies, techniques, and tools to ensure deliverables meet the needs of both internal and external business customers.
- Manage escalations and ensure resolutions on or before time.
- Plan and manage risks and detail mitigation strategies.
Your key responsibilities
- Managing several concurrent projects all the streams in scope of the program
- Creation of continuous improvement projects BOW within Reconciliations, Network Management and Financial Market Infrastructure
- Responsibility for the on-time delivery of projects to time and cost
- Manage scope of deliveries, manage expectations, and ensure clear and concise communication to sponsors, team members and Transformation Lead
- Project tracking for the related work stream
- Risk and issue management
- Interface with upstream data providers, both in terms of development deliverables and issue escalation
- Work closely with the Program Manager and program team to ensure on time delivery of Projects.
- Proactively question and challenge processes and key stakeholders to identify areas of potential inefficiency.
- Maintains customer focus, provides value addition to stakeholders and ensures prioritization of tasks to manage costs; works collaboratively with all parties to resolve potential conflicts
- Reporting on overall program status, outstanding milestones, Issues, risks and dependencies
Your skills and experience
SKILLS:
- Build VB prototypes and small-scale applications, along with VBA scripts, in a bid to automate Excel spreadsheets.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain MS Office applications, and handle both frontend and backend development procedures.
- Design, configure, develop, and implement enhancements and production fixes to existing systems.
- Develop and implement new systems and ensure that their configuration is properly handled.
- Use development best practices, and appropriate patterns to develop required software solutions.
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server views, stored procedures, and queries
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and guides.
- Develop, maintain, and support existing MS Excel VBA applications, and analyse and convert business requirements as needed.
- Perform object-oriented analysis and design, and diligent testing to ensure optimal performance of all assigned systems and system modules.
- Must be resourceful, industrious, and willing to take on new tasks and proactively learn new technologies to keep up with business needs.
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines efficiently and with high quality.
- Must possess strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt in a changing business environment.
- Must possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Experience:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience with VBAs, Advanced Excel, Basic SQL Coding, MS Access database, Tableau, Power Automate, & other automation tools, RPA,
- Min 2+ years project and programme delivery, preferably on platform migrations & Reports Automation
- Sound Knowledge of Investment Banking Operations preferred.
- Ability to work independently & deliver in demanding environment to meet the set target.
- Team player, highly motivated, practical problem solver
- Masters Degree level education preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Ability to meet commitments and deadlines whilst maintaining quality.
