Role: Lead - Strategic Sourcing (Automotive & EV)
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Leadl to drive supplier strategy, cost optimization, and sourcing execution for automotive and EV electrical electronics components. The role requires strong ownership across supplier development, commercial negotiations, new product sourcing, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, quality, and operations teams.

Mandatory Experience/Qualification:

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Strategic Sourcing / Supply Chain Management within Automotive, EV, Electrical, or Electronics manufacturing.


• Proven experience handling supplier audits, APQP, PPAP, VA/VE, ECN implementation, and cost negotiation.


• Strong understanding of supplier costing, commodity trends, and raw material price management.


• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 documentation and audit requirements.


• Experience using SAP for procurement and supplier management activitiesBasic exposure to import procedures, Incoterms, and customs formalities.


• Knowledge of EV charging products or EV electrical systems is highly preferred.


• Bachelor's degree in EEE / ECE or equivalent engineering discipline

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier selection, qualification, and consolidation, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, technology, and delivery requirements


• Conduct supplier capability assessments and audits, drive corrective action plans, and ensure timely closures


• Own RFQ execution and commercial finalization for new parts and manage price negotiations for existing components


• Develop and maintain detailed cost models and should-cost analyses across parts, suppliers, and commodities


• Drive raw material cost (RMC) reduction and VA/VE initiatives in line with annual targets


• Lead supplier-related activities for New Product Development (NPD) programs, including APQP planning and PPAP approvals


• Support supplier component development, validation, and change management (ECN) in collaboration with engineering and quality teams


• Actively resolve supplier quality, delivery, and capacity issues, ensuring continuity of supply and SOP readiness


• Implement and monitor supplier SLAs, scorecards, KPIs, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)


• Identify and execute opportunities for inbound and outbound freight cost optimization


• Ensure adherence to SAP procurement processes, documentation standards, and governance requirements


• Maintain clear documentation, including MOMs, supplier visit reports, and monthly performance dashboards


• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving tools


• Provide sourcing and supplier development support for EV charging systems and electrical/electronic technologies
