Asst. Engineer

1. Operation & Monitoring

• Ensure smooth operation of electrical systems including:

• HT/LT Switchgears

• Transformers
• Motors (HT & LT)
• MCCs, VFDs, UPS systems
• DG sets

• Control panels and distribution boards

• Monitor and record power consumption, load distribution, and efficiency of equipment.

• Coordinate with production and instrumentation teams for continuous plant operation.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults in motors, drives, transformers, and control circuits and take corrective actions.
• Plan and execute shutdown maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance logs and checklists as per schedule.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards (e.g., IS/IEC standards).
• Conduct LOTO procedures, arc flash studies, and energy audits.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols during maintenance and operation.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Prepare reports on equipment health, power factor, energy consumption, and system performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for service, spares, and technical support.

5. Project Work

• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgradation projects.
• Provide technical support for plant expansion or modernization projects.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of:

• Electrical equipment in cement plants (kiln, raw mill, cement mill, compressors, crushers, conveyors)

• HT/LT systems
• VFDs, soft starters, PLC-based control panels

• Energy management systems (EMS)

• Proficiency in using maintenance software (SAP, CMMS, or equivalent)

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals
