We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in CICS to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications. The candidate will be responsible for building and supporting CICS-based online transaction processing systems and batch applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain COBOL-DB2-CICS applications for online transaction processing.

Create and enhance CICS BMS maps and pseudo-conversational programs.

Develop and support batch jobs using JCL, PROCs, and utilities.

Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning for mainframe applications.

Troubleshoot production abends/issues using tools such as Xpeditor, Abend-Aid, or Intertest.

Work with DB2, VSAM, and other data storage systems for transaction and batch processing.

Ensure compliance with security standards (RACF/ACF2/Top Secret) and change management tools (Endevor/Changeman/ISPW).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with middleware systems (MQ/Web Services).

Provide production support and participate in on-call rotation when needed.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe application development.

Strong programming knowledge in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.

Experience in developing CICS online programs and handling pseudo-conversational techniques.

Proficiency in BMS map creation and maintenance.

Hands-on experience with tools like File-Aid, Abend-Aid, Xpeditor, and Changeman/Endevor.

Strong analytical and debugging skills to resolve complex issues.

Familiarity with message queuing (MQ Series) and integration with distributed systems.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Nice to Have

Experience with Assembler, PL/I, or REXX scripting.

Exposure to Agile methodology and DevOps pipelines for mainframe.

Knowledge of cloud integration with mainframe applications (AWS Mainframe Modernization, API gateways).
