Senior Interior Designer – Job DescriptionPosition Overview

We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Interior Designer to lead the design and execution of high-end interior projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong conceptual design skills, a deep understanding of materials and finishes, and the ability to manage projects from concept through completion. This role requires leadership, client relationship management, and collaboration with architects, consultants, and junior designers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process from initial concept development to project delivery.
  • Translate client needs and objectives into functional, aesthetically pleasing, and innovative design solutions.
  • Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, material palettes, and 3D visualizations.
  • Oversee the production of detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, and vendors to ensure design intent is realized.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to meet client expectations.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and fostering professional growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and sustainable design practices.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure design quality.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat and referral business.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • 7+ years of professional interior design experience, preferably in residential, hospitality, or commercial sectors.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design solutions and successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and construction practices.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to balance creativity with technical and practical considerations.

Preferred Attributes

  • LEED, WELL, or NCIDQ certification is a plus.
  • Experience working with high-profile clients and luxury projects.
  • Strong network of suppliers, contractors, and industry contacts.
  • Passion for innovation, sustainability, and user-centered design
