Role Overview

We are looking for a Visual Merchandiser who can bring the Oyela aesthetic to life across digital and physical touchpoints. The ideal candidate combines strong design sense, fashion intuition, and data-driven merchandising strategy to create visually engaging experiences that drive sales and strengthen brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Merchandising Strategy: Develop and execute visual merchandising guidelines for product display across website, marketplaces, and retail pop-ups.
  • Digital Merchandising:

Curate homepages, collection pages, and product grids for seasonal drops and campaigns.

Coordinate with marketing and design teams to align visuals with campaign storytelling.

Optimize visual hierarchy and product placement based on performance metrics.

  • Retail/Pop-up Displays: Design in-store layouts, mannequins, and visual setups consistent with the brand tone.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of emerging fashion and visual trends to keep the Oyela brand relevant and aspirational.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Design, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure seamless execution of visual concepts.
  • Brand Aesthetic: Maintain and evolve the visual identity of Oyela across channels—clean, trendy, and Gen Z–focused.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Visual Merchandising, or a related field  from NIFT, Pearl, or similar institutions.
  • 2–5 years of experience

in visual merchandising or fashion branding (preferably D2C or fashion retail).
- Must have worked with
shopify

interface
- Strong eye for color, layout, and detail with a deep understanding of youth fashion trends.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar tools.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative startup environment
