JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Role - Supervisor

Department - Installation & Maintenance

Purpose : To supervise the project execution

Activities: Responsible for completion of project as per given schedule.

A site supervisor job description involves managing and coordinating all on-site activities for projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards, all while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and enforcing health and safety protocols. Key duties include supervising and training staff, managing site resources like materials and equipment, conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments, coordinating with subcontractors and clients, and reporting project progress to management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Oversee daily on-site operations to ensure work aligns with project plans, specifications, and deadlines.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, direct, and evaluate the performance of on-site staff, including workers and subcontractors, providing necessary training and motivation.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, conduct regular inspections to identify and eliminate hazards, and ensure compliance with accident protocols.
  • Resource Management: Manage the ordering and delivery of materials and equipment, ensuring adequate resources are available for project completion.
  • Quality Control: Monitor work to ensure it meets quality standards and building codes, making recommendations for improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Communication: Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and senior management, providing regular progress reports.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the project site.

Required Skills

  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, organizational, and excellent communication skills to coordinate teams and report effectively.
  • Technical Knowledge: Sound knowledge of building codes, construction safety regulations, and blueprints.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.
  • Certifications: CPR and first aid certifications are often required.
