Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented
Sales Manager
with over 8+ years of proven experience in the
Iron and Steel industry
. The ideal candidate will lead the sales operations, develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets, build strong client relationships, and expand the company's market presence across regions.

Key responsibility:

  • Strategic Sales Planning:
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and product segments.
  • Prepare annual sales budgets, forecasts, and periodic performance reports.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Set performance objectives and review team performance periodically.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients (dealers, distributors, fabricators, EPC contractors, OEMs, etc.).
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure profitable growth.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and timely resolution of client issues.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis:
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer preferences.
  • Provide feedback to management to support product development and pricing strategies.
  • Sales Operations:
  • Oversee order processing, dispatch planning, credit control, and payment follow-ups.
  • Coordinate closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless supply and service.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and ethical practices.
  • Reporting & MIS:
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Track sales performance against KPIs and present insights to senior management

Key skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of
    Iron & Steel products
    (e.g., TMT bars, angles, channels, coils, sheets, structural steel, MS Pipes etc.)
  • Strong B2B & Institutional sales background.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office & CRM software.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Metallurgy / Business Administration (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience in the Iron & Steel industry, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
