Network and Security Analyst

Role & responsibilities
- Develop and maintain device hardening standards
- Deliver network compliance reports
- Monitor the companys intrusion detection systems
- Prepare detailed reports regarding intrusions and events
- Assess and analyze anomalous network and system activity
- Deploy and administer network access control lists, firewall rule sets, VPNs, and NACs
- Maintain in-house compliance monitoring systems using scripting and an SQL interface
- Identify and implement improvements to our network assessment processes
- Develop a logging pipeline for new security appliances
- Review connectivity requests to ensure compliance with in-house and external policies
- Consult with internal IT groups regarding security when implementing new and existing network technologies
- Troubleshoot client issues related to security
- Serve as a subject matter expert on securing network systems
- Research and assess new sources of threat intelligence and threat actors in order to improve our security protections
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience troubleshooting network issues
- Experience configuring Access Control Lists, firewalls, and routers
- Thorough knowledge of information security principles
- Knowledge of network hardware devices
- Knowledge of network services, exploits, vulnerabilities, and attacks
- Knowledge of ACS external database authentication methods
