Key Responsibilities

Drafting and Design Execution

  • Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software for various phases of environmental projects (e.g., WTP, WWTP, Effluent Treatment, Sewage Treatment).
  • Develop Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), General Arrangement Drawings (GAD), Equipment Layouts, Plan, Elevation, and Section drawings.
  • Prepare detailed mechanical drawings for components such as aeration tanks, anaerobic treatment systems, clarifiers, and pumping stations.
  • Generate pipe routing, piping layouts, and isometric drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and engineering specifications.
  • Translate red-line markups and verbal instructions from Engineers into final, accurate technical drawings.

Documentation and Collaboration

  • Ensure all drawings adhere to company drafting standards, project specifications, and relevant codes/regulations.
  • Manage and maintain organized project documentation, including drawing registers, file conversions, and revision control for all CAD files.
  • Collaborate closely with Mechanical, Civil, and Environmental Engineers to integrate design components and resolve any design discrepancies or clashes.
  • Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and Bill of Materials (BOM) based on final design drawings.
  • Support the proposal team by preparing conceptual layouts and diagrams for bidding submissions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D modeling). Experience with specialized tools like AutoCAD Plant 3D is a significant advantage.
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in preparing P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and GA (General Arrangement) drawings.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering sketches, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Familiarity with Civil, Structural, and Mechanical drafting conventions and standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and data management.

Educational and Professional Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or an ITI/Certification in Drafting/CAD Technology.
  • Minimum 2 years of dedicated CAD drafting experience, preferably within the water and wastewater treatment or a related process industry.
