About the Role: PHP Intern

As a PHP Intern at Augurs Technologies, you will gain practical experience in backend web development by working on live projects using PHP and related technologies. You will collaborate with experienced developers and cross-functional teams to build, test, and maintain web-based applications and APIs. This internship is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates to enhance their coding skills in a professional IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Web Development: Assist in building and maintaining dynamic, database-driven websites and applications using PHP.
  • Backend Logic: Support in writing clean, scalable, and efficient backend code using PHP frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.
  • Database Management: Work with MySQL databases for creating, updating, and managing data structures.
  • Testing & Debugging: Help in debugging and troubleshooting existing code to improve application performance.
  • API Integration: Assist in developing and integrating RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
  • Code Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for developed features and functionalities.
  • Learning & Research: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in PHP and web development.

Eligibility and Skills

To be a strong candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and web development fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with at least one PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter) is a plus.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how front-end and back-end technologies interact.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub and version control concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
