Opportunity Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join Upland India as a Software Engineer I (Fullstack) for our Upland CIMPL product. The individual will work with our front-end development team. 

Upland CIMPL is a Telecom Expense Management product that provides complete visibility into all your circuits, numbers, accounts, and other telecom assets, including location and spend. Cimpl automatically ingests invoices and reconciles them against your contracts and usage. Our customers track, manage, and pay telecom assets and services quickly and with confidence, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. We are seeking tech-savvy professionals who are passionate about the software industry, who learn quickly, and who are motivated to succeed. 

 What would you do?

• Develop, test and maintain the platform code
• Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborating with other developers and team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience and support analytical products
• Troubleshoot and diagnose production issues
• Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members
• Balance technical debt vs. feature development vs. supporting customers

What are we looking for?

Technical Skills

Experience:
To be part of this journey, you should have experience of 1 - 3 years in the below mentioned areas.

Primary Skills: The candidate must possess the following primary skills:

• Full stack software developer who enjoys solving complex problems
• Experience in.NET Core, SQL Server, and Angular (including WebAPI, REST)
• Experience in building cloud-native applications (e.g. AWS or Azure is ideal)
• Must be able to write automated tests alongside features and bug fixes

Secondary Skills: It would be advantageous if the candidate also has the following secondary skills:

• Knowledge of any of WebPack, Azure, ServiceNow
• UI/UX design and development
• Understanding of industry-standard design principles and practices
• Finance, inventory management, and/or procurement experience an asset

Soft Skills:
The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative team environment with a diverse range of people and is passionate about delivering an amazing customer experience.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.

This role requires overlap with multiple time zones for planning meetings, status updates etc. on a regular basis. The duration of these overlaps can change depending on the type of meeting.
