Overview The SAP ABAP HANA - Web Dynpro role is crucial for organizations looking to leverage SAP's advanced technology stack for their business processes. This position focuses on the development and enhancement of applications using ABAP programming language along with the integration of SAP HANA and Web Dynpro technology. By implementing robust solutions, the SAP ABAP HANA - Web Dynpro Developer ensures that dynamic user interfaces are created that meet the demands of end-users while aligning with the company's strategies and objectives. The role not only enhances the efficiency of business operations but also plays a significant role in ensuring high-quality standards in code development, performance, and application reliability. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with project teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, transform them into technical specifications, and deliver user-centric applications that support the overall mission of the organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain applications using ABAP programming on SAP HANA and Web Dynpro.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and specifications.
  • Create technical specifications and perform high-level designs.
  • Ensure code efficiency through optimization techniques.
  • Design and implement user interfaces in Web Dynpro.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Debug applications to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Utilize SQL scripting in SAP HANA for database operations.
  • Develop reports and data extraction programs.
  • Participate in project planning and development activities.
  • Provide support in unit testing and integration testing.
  • Document development processes, user instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain compatibility with SAP upgrades and patches.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate ABAP applications with other SAP modules.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection regulations.
  • Provide training and support to junior developers as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP HANA database.
  • Proficient in Web Dynpro application development.
  • Strong knowledge of ABAP programming techniques and best practices.
  • Experience in SQL scripting for database management.
  • Understanding of SAP UI5 and Fiori concepts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP modules (FI, MM, SD) is advantageous.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with application testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Certifications in SAP ABAP or related fields are a plus.
