Civil Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with extensive experience in civil construction and site supervision, particularly with expertise in PMGSY (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana) projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various phases of civil engineering projects, including road construction, highway construction, and building construction, ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and supervise civil engineering projects, including roads, highways, and building infrastructure, with a focus on PMGSY rural road projects.
• Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including technical reports, drawings, and progress reports.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective measures to mitigate delays or quality issues.
• Ensure proper utilization of materials, manpower, and machinery on-site.
• Liaise with government authorities and stakeholders for approvals and compliance related to PMGSY and other construction projects.
• Manage civil site supervision activities and ensure adherence to all regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in civil construction and site supervision, particularly with PMGSY projects.
• Strong knowledge of road and highway construction standards and techniques.
• Familiarity with site engineering, project management, and construction engineering principles.
• Excellent understanding of construction safety protocols and quality assurance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an in-office environment with frequent site visits.
• Experience with government infrastructure projects, especially rural road development under PMGSY.

Preferred:

• Experience working in Nanded or nearby locations.
• Knowledge of relevant software tools for project management and design.
• Certifications related to construction management or safety.
