Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time role for an Electrical Design Engineer located in Tamil Nadu, India. The primary responsibilities include creating and optimizing electrical designs for projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time role for an Electrical Design Engineer located in Tamil Nadu, India. The primary responsibilities include creating and optimizing electrical designs for projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. Additional tasks involve conducting power distribution analysis, developing detailed schematics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges. The engineer will also participate in testing, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and components.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 2–8 years of hands-on experience in electrical design and drafting
  • Strong exposure to the switchgear industry with working knowledge of IEC standards
  • Proven experience in preparing panel general arrangement drawings, single line diagrams and electrical schemes
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN and Elecdes
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and power distribution systems
  • Ability to accurately read, interpret and develop technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent technical, organizational and documentation skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for client and cross-functional coordination
