Role & responsibilities

  1. Concept Development & Design Execution

  2. Translate client requirements and briefs into functional, creative, and aesthetic design concepts.

  3. Develop space planning, layouts, mood boards, color schemes, and material selections.
  4. Create detailed working drawings, BOQs, and specifications for execution.

  5. Ensure designs balance aesthetics, functionality, budget, and feasibility.

  6. Client Interaction & Relationship Management

  7. Attend client meetings to gather requirements, present design ideas, and finalize concepts.

  8. Provide design guidance, material options, and solutions addressing client concerns.

  9. Build trust and maintain long-term relationships with clients by delivering high-quality design outputs.

  10. Project Coordination & Site Support

  11. Collaborate with Project Managers, MEP teams, and Contractors to ensure design intent is followed on-site.

  12. Conduct site visits to check execution quality, finishes, and resolve design discrepancies.
  13. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material approvals and samples.

  14. Ensure timely release of drawings and revisions to avoid project delays.

  15. Team Collaboration & Mentorship

  16. Guide and supervise junior designers, draftsmen, and 3D visualisers.

  17. Review and approve design drawings, 3D renders, and documentation prepared by the team.

  18. Share design knowledge, trends, and best practices to uplift the overall teams capabilities.

  19. Quality & Innovation

  20. Ensure every project adheres to design quality standards and company guidelines.

  21. Explore and suggest new materials, finishes, and sustainable solutions.

  22. Continuously update knowledge of market trends, software tools, and industry innovations.

  23. Reporting & Documentation

  24. Provide regular updates on design progress, challenges, and client feedback to the Design Head / Creative Director.

  25. Maintain design documentation, revisions, and approvals for smooth project tracking.
  26. Support preparation of portfolio and case studies of completed projects.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of professional experience in interior design.
  • Experienced in office interior layout is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD , SketchUp , Revit , Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools like V-Ray or Lumion.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods.
