Arbortec Systems Pvt. Ltd. – Mohali, is a fully owned subsidiary of Arbor Financial Systems Limited (UK), Arbor Financial Systems (a UK based MNC) provides Order and Portfolio Management Software for hedge funds across Europe and US. We are in a fast-growing business with a great pipeline of business developing and delivering financial software for hedge funds to clients/brokers. We have offices in Chandigarh/Mohali, London and US and potentially looking to spread our operations in Hong Kong.

Job Description:

• 8+ years Systems Administration experience required.
• Strong knowledge and experience in project management & change management.
• Should have experience in live production environment.
• Experience in maintaining/managing servers remotely.
• Lead and drive the weekly team meetings / conference call and participate in weekly management calls and client calls on a regular basis.
• Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Monitor, manage and motivate team members to perform and achieve individual as well as team goals.
• Ability to work constructively with Developers, Quality Analysts, Business Analysts, Project managers and Management towards a common goal.
• Support Infrastructure team with managing, planning, testing and troubleshooting on infrastructure space.
• Support includes management of Domain Controllers, SQL Servers, RDS servers, VM Host Servers etc.
• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
• Analyzes and solves complex problems of network (operating) system hardware and software components, suggest best solutions to the management.
• Respond to emergencies in a timely manner and prompt communication.
• Document control/writing, follow best practices as a System Admin and being organized & Proactive.
• Knowledge of Audit & Compliances such as ISO 27001 / DORA / SOC2
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work in Permanent/Rotational shifts (UK/US Shift) and weekend patching work required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language.

Technical Skills Required:

Strong Knowledge and experience in the following technologies:

• Active Directory / GPO / Windows Server Roles / FSMO/ WSUS / Samba AD / DNS / PowerShell
• Netwrix / Nagios/SNMP Monitoring and troubleshooting using Windows Native Tools and 3rd Party Tools.
• Experience working with window servers like 2012/2016/2019 and windows server clustering and High Availability.
• Practical knowledge of DC/DR, BCP, Cyber Security and Penetration & Vulnerability Assessment.
• G Suite & O365 Migration and Management.
• Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (Remote Apps publishing).
• MS SQL Server Administration Experience/Knowledge for tasks like Log Shipping & Licensing Model and Compliance for Active Passive Deployment.
• Windows IIS Servers – Setup and migration.
• Experience/knowledge in virtual infrastructure like Virtual Box, VMware, HyperV.
• Experience/knowledge in Linux like installation, RAID, SAMBA, LDAP, SFTP, NTP.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Switches/Routers/Firewall preferably Palo alto.
• Experience/knowledge of ACL, NAT, VPN setup etc. keeping in view Industry Best Practices
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot systems/network problems and detailed Log Analysis.
• Experience working with computer hardware for installation, upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Cloning / Disk Imaging / OS Backup / Recovery tools.

Preferred Qualification:

Qualification: MCA/BCA/B.Tech or Equivalent degree/diploma

Certifications - IT Hardware/Networking, MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, RHCE, ITIL
