API Whisperer

About the Role:
We are seeking an API Whisperer a master of APIs and integrations who can design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing API ecosystems. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless communication between internal and external systems, enabling robust application interoperability and digital innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- API Design & Development: Architect, build, and maintain RESTful, GraphQL, and/or SOAP APIs that are scalable, secure, and efficient.
- Integration Strategy: Design and manage integrations between applications, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party services.
- Performance & Reliability: Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot APIs to ensure high availability and low latency.
- Documentation & Governance: Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation, standards, and best practices.
- Security & Compliance: Implement API security measures including OAuth, JWT, rate-limiting, and data encryption.
- Collaboration: Work with frontend, backend, DevOps, and product teams to enable smooth integration and system interoperability.
- Innovation: Research and recommend emerging API technologies, microservices frameworks, and integration tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- API or cloud certifications are a plus.
- Experience in digital transformation, SaaS platforms, or enterprise integration projects.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
