Job description

We are seeking an experienced Magento 2.0 Developer with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience to join our dynamic development team. As a Magento Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our e-commerce platform using Magento 2.0. Your primary focus will be on designing and customizing Magento themes, developing modules, integrating third-party extensions, and optimizing website performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Magento 2.0 e-commerce websites and applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and develop custom features.

Customize and create Magento themes based on UI/UX designs and ensure a seamless user experience.

Extend and enhance Magento functionality by developing custom modules and integrating third-party extensions.

Optimize website performance by implementing caching mechanisms, optimizing database queries, and improving code efficiency.

Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices, coding standards, and performance guidelines.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Magento functionality, performance, and integrations.

Stay updated with the latest Magento trends, technologies, and best practices to propose innovative solutions and improvements.

Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the quality and stability of the developed features.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and assist in their skill development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 1 year of experience in Magento 2.0 development, including customization, module development, and theme integration.

Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

Strong knowledge of Magento architecture, database structure, and customization techniques.

Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap and responsive web design principles.

Solid understanding of web services, APIs, and RESTful architecture.

Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for Magento applications.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate with stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Magento 2.x certification(s) will be a plus.

Experience with Magento 1.x migration to Magento 2.0.

Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms or CMS like WooCommerce, Shopify, or WordPress.

Knowledge of server configurations and hosting environments for Magento applications.
