Senior Merchandiser / Business Manager - Kelvin Ecopack

Currently Kelvin Ecopack is looking for a Senior Merchandiser / Business Manager for Kolkata location.

He / She, will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end process of product development, production and will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, establishing partnerships, and expanding customer base in the jute bags market both Domestic & International.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement strategic business development plan to drive growth in the jute bags industry.

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospective clients, distributors, and strategic partners.

· Collaborate with the design and development team to create new jute bag designs and concepts.

· Liaise with production teams to plan and schedule manufacturing processes, considering lead times, capacity, and production capabilities.

· Establish quality standards and specifications for jute bags, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.

· Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement or expansion.

· Independent handling of export orders from sample till dispatch.

· Preparing cost sheets against buyer enquiries

· Need to travel for business development and as per job requirements.

Skill Requirements:

· Graduate or Post Graduate in any discipline.

· At least 8+ years of proven experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar / relevant role is a must with team management skills.

· In-depth knowledge of the market, including customer needs, industry trends, and competitor landscape.

· Proficiency in project management, from product development to delivery.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.

· Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

· Attention to details and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Experience in attending Trade Fair, both Domestic & International will be preferred.
