Job Description: Sales & Marketing Manager – Solar EPC Projects
Experience: Minimum 6 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. (Electrical)
Industry: Solar EPC / Renewable Energy / Power Projects
Location - Dapodi, Pune.
Job Summary
The Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving business growth in Solar EPC Projects, managing client relationships, preparing techno-commercial proposals, and ensuring successful project acquisition. The role demands strong technical understanding of solar systems, excellent communication skills, and proven sales experience in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Lead Generation
Identify new business opportunities in rooftop and ground-mounted Solar EPC projects.
Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline through market research, networking, and industry events.
Conduct client visits, presentations, and technical discussions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial, commercial, and institutional clients.
2. Sales & Marketing Strategy
Develop sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets.
Prepare and implement marketing plans, campaigns, and promotional activities.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
Work with management to finalize pricing strategy and positioning.
3. Techno-Commercial Activities
Prepare technical proposals, sizing, BOQ, and costing for Solar EPC projects.
Coordinate with design and engineering teams for detailed system design.
Negotiate techno-commercial terms and close deals with clients.
Ensure all proposals meet technical standards and regulatory guidelines.
4. Client Coordination & Documentation
Handle client queries, documentation, and approvals.
Prepare and review sales agreements, contracts, and tenders.
Support in government subsidy applications, DISCOM approvals, and project-related paperwork.
5. Project Coordination
Work closely with project execution teams to ensure smooth project handover.
Attend site meetings when required and ensure alignment between client expectations and project execution.
Provide regular updates to management on sales forecast, progress, and achievements.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Solar PV systems, EPC processes, and electrical fundamentals.
Proven experience in Solar EPC sales (rooftop & ground-mounted).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to handle techno-commercial discussions with clients.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, AutoCAD basics (advantage).
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Ability to meet targets under pressure.
Candidate Profile
Diploma / B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 6 years of experience in Solar EPC sales & marketing.
Experience in industrial/commercial solar projects preferred.
Strong network with consultants, industries, and government bodies.
Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Salary Range
As per industry standards (based on experience and performance).
