Record to Report | Associate Vice President

Work you will do:

You will focus on following areas:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the record to report team, ensuring quality, efficient and effective operation of the function, leading engagement planning, managing engagement economics, engagement risk, and engagement timeline
• Coordinate the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion of financial close activities and achieve key KPIs.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports, e.g., balance sheets and income statements (including revenue recognition, inventory etc.)
• Continuously assess and improve the record to report process, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining, and standardization.
• Implement best practices and drive operational efficiencies through providing efficient, sustainable, and technology-enabled solutions aligned with accounting and financial reporting requirements
• Lead or participate in projects related to the implementation or upgrade of ERPs. Own ERP implementation for record to report process and drive user adoption and training.
• Develop and maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring compliance with internal control policies, procedures, and SOX requirements. Perform periodic reviews and assessments to identify control gaps and implement remediation plans.
• Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making and drive business performance.
• Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external and internal parties, including customers and advisors.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, such as Controllership, Business finance and auditors, to address any inquiries or issues related to the record to report process.
• Manage a team of professionals and oversee their performance, development, and coaching. Collaborate with the team to understand their challenges and identifying solutions to drive desired outcomes

Educational Qualifications and requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (CPA equivalent)/ Masters in accounting / Business, or Finance required, other disciplines considered with relevant experience in accounting.
• Minimum of 19-24 years of experience in RTR of team leading experience of approx people in manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Desired work experience in various packages and tools such as Oracle, SAP, JDE, Power BI, HFM and One Stream reporting tool, Alteryx etc.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and drive change.
• English proficiency required: written and verbal communication including presentation, interpersonal communication and facilitation skills
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and data management skills with attention to detail.
• Innovative and focus on continuous improvement

Location and Work Timings:

• Position is based in Pune and requires in-office attendance three days a week.
• Working in various shifts as per business needs is a mandatory requirement.
