Designation- Quality Assurance Executive

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Packaging Material Quality Assurance

-Inspect and approve incoming packaging materials (tubes, bottles, labels, cartons, caps, pumps, etc.) as per approved specifications and artwork.

-Coordinate with the procurement and design team for packaging material quality and artwork verification before release to TPMs.

-Conduct vendor audits and line trials for new packaging materials or design changes.

-Maintain PM approval records, COA, and inspection reports for traceability.

-Ensure that all packaging materials are compliant with regulatory, functional, and aesthetic requirements.

  1. Finished Goods Quality Assurance

-Inspect finished goods received from TPMs for visual appearance, leak test, fill volume, batch coding. labeling, and packing integrity.

-Ensure adherence to standard specifications, GMP. and defined acceptance quality levels (AQLS).

-Approve or reject finished goods based on inspection findings and record the same in QA release documents.

-Conduct line clearance and in-process checks at TPM units during production, filling, and packing.

-Coordinate with TPMs for corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) in case of non-conformities.

  1. Documentation & Compliance

-Maintain batch release records, inspection checklists, COAs, deviation reports, and CAPA records.

-Ensure artwork approvals and packaging specification master files are up to date.

-Support internal and external quality audits (e.g., ISO, GMP, regulatory).

-Prepare monthly quality reports, rejection trends, and supplier quality performance data.

  1. Cross-Functional Coordination

-Work closely with procurement, design, production, supply chain, and TPM teams to resolve quality issues.

-Participate in new product development (NPD) for packaging validation and stability checks.

-Communicate quality observations, suggest improvements, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies

-Strong knowledge of packaging materials (plastic, glass, laminate tubes, labels, cartons, pumps, caps, etc.)

-Understanding of AQL, GMP, GLP, and regulatory standards applicable to cosmetics/FMCG.

-Good analytical and documentation skills.

-Attention to detail, assertiveness, and problem-solving ability.

-Proficiency in MS Excel / QA checklists/ERP systems preferred.
