This role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our clients' voice communication systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco voice technologies, and related applications. Job Summary :The VoIP Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cisco voice communication systems, including CUCM, Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco IM&P.

This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the flexibility to work in a rotational shift environment. Responsibilities :Cisco CUCM Administration :

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and backups.
• Configure and manage call routing, dial plans, and voice gateways.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CUCM-related issues.

Cisco Unity Connection Management :

• Manage and maintain Cisco Unity Connection voicemail systems.
• Configure voicemail boxes, greetings, and call handling rules.
• Troubleshoot voicemail-related issues.

Cisco IM&P Management :

• Manage and maintain Cisco Instant Messaging and Presence (IM&P) systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot IM&P features and functionality.
• Integrate IM&P with other communication systems.

Voice Operations & Support :

• Provide day-to-day operational support for voice communication systems.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
• Respond to and resolve voice-related incidents and service requests.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting :

• Create and maintain detailed documentation of voice system configurations and procedures.
• Generate reports on system performance and incident resolution.

Collaboration & Communication :

• Collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, and other technical teams.
• Communicate effectively with end-users and stakeholders.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members.

Rotational Shifts :

• Work in a rotational shift environment to provide 24/7 support.

Required Skills & Experience :Technical Skills :

• 6 years of experience in voice operations and Cisco CUCM administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco CUCM, Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco IM&P.
• In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP).
• Experience with voice gateways and dial plan management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing).

Communication Skills :

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical1 users.

Operational Skills :

• Ability to work in a rotational shift environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications :

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA Voice/Collaboration, CCNP Collaboration) are highly preferred.
