-Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software using C++11/14/17 on Linux/Unix environments.
  • Develop Unit Test Cases for the Application using CppUnit/GMock and other frameworks.
  • Use XML C++ Parsers for parsing structured financial messages.
  • Interact with IBM DB2 database, write optimized SQL queries, and handle IBM MQ message queues.
  • Perform debugging and profiling using tools like GDB, Valgrind, and gprof.
  • Write and maintain shell scripts and as well as Python & Perl scripts.
  • Use tools like VS Code, Git (Stash), PuTTY, WinSCP, Jira and ServiceNow for development and collaboration.
  • Support L3 production issues, ensuring resolution and ownership.
  • Coordinate with onsite stakeholders (USA/UK) and manage client expectations.
  • Lead module-level efforts or mentor junior developers as required.

-Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience in C++ (minimum 5 years to 8 years preferred)
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux, along with common shell utilities and commands.
  • Experience with debugging tools such as gdb, valgrind, and performance profiling.
  • Proficiency in SQL; hands-on experience with IBM DB2.
  • Understanding of IBM MQ for inter-process communication.
  • Shell scripting proficiency. Exposure to Python, Perl or Ruby scripting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets / FOREX terminologies would be a plus.
  • Familiarity to SWIFT messaging standards and financial protocols is a plus.
  • Previous experience working with US-based clients is preferred.
