Overview: The Android Developer plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality Android applications. They work closely with our product and design teams to create innovative and user-friendly mobile experiences.Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology trends in the mobile application development space.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Android Developer.
  • Proficient in Java, Kotlin, and the Android SDK.
  • Experience with remote data via REST and JSON.
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Experience with version control using Git.
  • Published at least one original Android app.
