Qa Tester

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Tester with a strong background in Quality Assurance (QA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software applications through thorough testing processes. This role requires a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with development teams to identify and resolve issues. The Software Tester will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, reliable software solutions to our clients and end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Strategy:

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
• Define test strategies, scope, and objectives for each testing phase.

Test Case Design and Execution:

• Create detailed, well-structured test cases based on project specifications.
• Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools.
• Identify and document software defects and track issues to resolution.

Automation Testing:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing.
• Work with development teams to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Develop automation frameworks and enhance existing ones for scalability and reusability.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using web drivers such as Selenium WebDriver for browser-based automation.
• Implement and manage automation detection techniques to identify and report automation failures effectively.
• Apply automation frameworks (e.g., Hybrid, Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, or BDD frameworks like Cucumber) to streamline testing processes.
• Perform detection testing to identify UI inconsistencies, functional defects, and integration issues within automation workflows.

Defect Tracking and Reporting:

• Document and prioritize defects, providing detailed information to developers for resolution.
• Generate and communicate test summary reports to project stakeholders.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a unified approach to quality.
• Clearly communicate testing progress, results, and potential risks to project stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software testing and QA.
• Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium with Python, etc.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Experience with performance testing and security testing.
• Hands-on experience with web drivers, automation frameworks, and framework development for testing.
• Understanding of defect detection techniques and test optimization strategies.

Education:

Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Soft Skills:

• Communication Skills: Candidate must have good communication skills in both English and Hindi. Testers need to effectively communicate with team members, developers, and other stakeholders to report bugs, discuss requirements, and provide feedback.
• Analytical Skills: Testers must analyse software requirements, identify test scenarios, and understand the implications of different test cases.
• Problem-Solving: Testers encounter unexpected issues during testing. The ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently is crucial.
• Attention to Detail: Testing requires a keen eye for detail to identify even the smallest issues in software functionality.
• Time Management: Testers often work on multiple tasks simultaneously and need to manage their time effectively to meet deadlines.
