Job Title: Part-Time Carnatic Music Teacher

Location: Velammal Vidyalaya, Vanagaram Branch, Chennai

Job Type: Part-Time (On-site)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Carnatic Music Teacher to join our Vanagaram campus on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Carnatic music and demonstrate a strong ability to teach students of various age groups with patience, discipline, and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engaging and structured Carnatic vocal music classes for students across different age groups.
  • Teach theory and practical aspects of Carnatic music including ragas, talas, compositions, and voice culture.
  • Prepare students for school programs, competitions, and cultural events.
  • Conduct assessments and provide feedback for student growth.
  • Maintain discipline and a creative classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the cultural team for events and performances.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Carnatic Music from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching Carnatic Music, preferably in a school setup.

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of classical Carnatic music.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire young learners.
  • Commitment to cultural excellence and student development.

Work Schedule:

3 to 4 days a week (Specific timings to be discussed during the interview)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18, ₹25,000.00 per month
