Role Overview: Join our market-leading, innovative Edge platform team at NCR Voyix. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and delivering top-notch solutions to our Customers. In this role you can expect to work on test automation as well as manual testing. Usually this will mean working alongside a development team to own their QA output, working with developers to agree and implement effective automated tests whilst also documenting any manual test cases. Alternatively, you may find yourself working directly on the in-house automation framework to assist the effort to automate faster and ensure solutions of the highest possible quality. Successful candidates will be expected to push for as much automation as possible and will find opportunities to work with a wide range of exciting innovative technologies

Key Responsibilities:

Automate tests using homegrown and/or open-source test frameworks.

Ambassador of quality, working to release high quality software solutions.

Define and build test scenarios and acceptance tests

Create and manage defects

Collaborate with a global quality team to ensure system reliability and adherence to best practices

Manage and maintain Linux systems

Utilize IT and networking skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently

Deploy and maintain both virtual and physical environments

Apply engineering principals, data analysis best practice and process knowledge to conduct root cause analysis of functional and non-functional defects

Work directly with development teams, taking ownership of producing and implementing robust tests.

Documentation and Reporting

Release readiness assessment

Adapt quickly to new technologies, applying new skills to improve system processes and performance.

Core Skills (Must have):

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3 to 6 years of experience in testing in an enterprise environment

Solid understanding of SDLC

Strong foundation in Linux, IT, and networking

Eagerness to learn and apply new skills on the job

Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a global team

Test automation

Strong personal organization, attention to detail, written and verbal communication

A real problem solver, ability to find opportunities for improvement and tackle them without external direction

Extensive experience in test automation of complex enterprise applications.

Good understanding of software architecture with the ability to provide recommendations and strategy for non-functional testing initiatives

Additional preferred skills ( Good to have)

ISTQB Software Testing qualification

Working knowledge of GIT

Working knowledge of Bash

Experience using Python (especially PyTest / UnitTest)

Experience testing K8s native software

Experience in Golang Programming

Exposure to cloud computing ideally GCP
