Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in WordPress development, custom plugin creation, API integration, database management, and optimization of backend functionality. You will collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to build scalable and secure WordPress solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress plugins, themes, and core functionalities.
  • Implement and manage REST APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Optimize website performance including database queries, caching, and server-side configurations.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed in backend development.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing WordPress sites.
  • Collaborate with the design and front-end teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress updates, trends, and backend technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience Required 2-3 years as WordPress Backend Developer .
  • Proven experience with WordPress core, custom theme development, and plugin development
  • Expertise in WordPress customization (themes, hooks, filters, shortcodes, custom post types, ACF, WooCommerce)
  • Strong back-end development and object-oriented programming (OOP) skills
  • Familiarity with Shopify app development, Liquid templating, and admin customization
  • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Experience in integrating third-party APIs, CRMs, and payment gateways with WordPress and Shopify
  • Good understanding of security best practices, caching, and performance optimization for WordPress sites
