Manager – Fire Engineering

About the role

You will be responsible for
-Provide fire engineering expertise for UK capital and compliance projects, ensuring alignment with UK regulations and Tesco's fire safety policies- Ensure all fire safety system designs and implementations comply with UK and International fire codes -Review and validate fire strategies, designs, and layouts for new builds, refurbishments, and remodel/refit schemes. -Regular verification of the functionality and compliance of fire protection systems by frequent review of risk assessment report and provide insights for the business to take informed decisions across Stores and DC's.-Lead the preparation and review of assurance documents, fire design checklists, and fire-related snagging closure-Ensure to incorporate& implement fire safety procedure into design such as sprinkler, fire alarm, Emergency Exits to minimize the risk of injury and loss-Staying current with the industry standards including new technology, fire safety methods and survey techniques-Support & deliver fire strategy projects in consultation with UK fire engineers, Consultants & Surveyors-Collaborate with multiple teams within the engineering & maintenance teams in UK &TBS-Provide technical advise/inputs on Minimum Fire Safety Standards & protection systems- Monitor changes in UK fire safety legislation (e.g., Building Regulations Part B, BS 9999/9991 via consultants) and update internal guidance accordingly-Review the accuracy of records of fire safety inspection, maintenance and certifications- Participate in fire/safety Online workshops and reviews to recommend design or operational improvements

Salary -
