An RMP (Raw Material Processing/Plant) Engineer in a sponge iron unit is responsible for the management and operation of the raw material handling and processing systems within the plant. Key responsibilities include maintaining equipment like crushers and conveyors, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of raw materials, performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and optimizing plant performance and material handling processes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operation and Maintenance:Ensure the day-to-day operation and proper maintenance of raw material processing equipment, such as crushers, conveyors, and stackers.
  • Mechanical and Electrical Systems:Oversee the fitting, welding, and general maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems within the RMP unit.
  • Troubleshooting:Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in the RMP systems to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operation.
  • Performance Optimization:Work to optimize the performance, efficiency, and productivity of the raw material handling and processing systems.
  • Inspections:Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and recommend necessary maintenance schedules.
  • Coordination:Coordinate with other departments, such as mechanical and electrical teams, to ensure the smooth overall operation of the plant.
  • Safety and Quality:Adhere to safety and quality standards throughout all RMP operations.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Mechanical and Electrical Systems: Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Equipment Operation: Experience operating and maintaining heavy machinery and equipment found in raw material processing.
  • Blueprint Reading: The ability to read and interpret blueprints for mechanical systems.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Proficiency in welding, cutting, and fitting components.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.
  • Computer Literacy: Basic computer knowledge, including common software used in plant operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22, ₹30,000.00 per month
