Job Title: Network Device Domain Expert (SNMP & Network Discovery)
Location: Vashi Navi Mumbai
Job Type: Full-time
Experience Level: 3+ Years

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Network Device Domain Expert with deep expertise in network protocols,
SNMP (v1, v2c, v3), and multi-vendor device discovery. The ideal candidate will help enhance our
Enterprise Network Monitoring System, ensuring deep-level device discovery across various OEMs.

Key Responsibilities:
 Design and implement advanced SNMP-based network discovery techniques.
 Analyse and extract deep-level device details (beyond basic MIBs) for multi-vendor devices
(Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, etc.).
 Work with custom and proprietary MIBs, OIDs, and SNMP traps for detailed monitoring.
 Evaluate and integrate alternative discovery protocols (NetFlow, Syslog, CLI scraping, API-
based discovery).
 Troubleshoot and resolve SNMP-related issues across different network devices.
 Collaborate with the development team to optimize network polling, data collection, and
performance tuning.
 Stay updated with industry trends, security best practices, and network monitoring
advancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
 3+ years of hands-on experience with SNMP (v1/v2c/v3), MIBs, OIDs, and network device
discovery.
 Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, CLI-based access, and API-based
network monitoring.
 Experience with enterprise networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, load
balancers, wireless controllers).
 Deep understanding of multi-vendor devices (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HP, Aruba, Palo Alto,
etc.).
 Experience working with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios,
OpenNMS, Zabbix).
 Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and custom SNMP
queries.

 Familiarity with SIEM and log analysis for security integration is a plus.
 Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
 Experience in reverse engineering SNMP MIBs for unknown vendors.
 Knowledge of YANG, NETCONF, or gRPC-based network management.
 Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent in networking.
