Technical Project Manager

Technical Project Manager (Software Development)
will lead and manage end-to-end project execution within the software development and production environment. This senior role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a proven track record in delivering high-quality software solutions. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects, ensuring they meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations.

The role involves close collaboration with clients, development teams, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and continuous process improvement.

Project Management & Delivery

• Lead the planning and execution of multiple software development projects in the
  production environment
  .
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed
  project plans, timelines, and task allocations
  for development teams.
• Track and monitor project progress, identifying risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies proactively.
• Ensure projects are delivered
  on time, within scope, and within budget
  while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Conduct
  regular project review meetings
  and status updates for management and clients.
• Manage change requests and scope variations efficiently through a structured change control process.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance and direction to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Understand software architectures, development frameworks, and technical constraints to make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to resolve technical challenges during production.
• Ensure
  coding standards, security practices, and deployment processes
  are followed consistently.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity and code quality.

Team Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams — including design, QA, and operations — for smooth project execution.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented work culture.
• Facilitate effective communication between clients, management, and internal teams.
• Ensure proper documentation of project requirements, processes, and outcomes.

Production Support & Delivery Management

• Oversee ongoing production projects to ensure stability, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Prioritize and manage production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
• Analyze root causes of recurring production challenges and implement preventive measures.
• Work closely with clients to understand business needs, plan releases, and ensure post-release support.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Proven experience in
  software project management
  , preferably within production or enterprise application environments.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in
  software development (e.g., .NET, Java, Angular, React, , or similar)
  .
• Proficiency in
  Agile/Scrum methodologies
  , project planning tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent understanding of
  SDLC
  , software architecture, and deployment processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on quality and delivery excellence.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in
  Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  .
• PMP, CSM, or Agile certification
  preferred.
• Minimum
  7+ years of experience
  in software development, with
  at least 2–3 years
  in a project or delivery management role.

Shift timings align with UK working hours. This role is based in Pune location onsid.
