Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to join our Engineering Strategy, Planning & Analytics team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Engineering Strategy, Planning & Analytics you'll be responsible for:

• Designing and operating scalable data pipelines to quantify SaaS engineering excellence (delivery, quality, velocity, reliability, security)
• Defining metrics frameworks (e.g., DORA/SPACE), translating trade-offs into executive insights, and building actionable dashboards
• Analyzing SDLC/DevSecOps data for high-fidelity signals, validating data integrity, and resolving source ambiguity
• Partnering with engineering leaders to identify bottlenecks, run analyses, and drive measurable process improvements
• Mentoring junior engineers and establishing best practices for data engineering, visualization, and governance

What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

• 8+ years software development; 3+ years building data platforms/pipelines at SaaS scale
• Bachelor degree in Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• Passionate about the "process" of Software Development and care about improving it
• Proficient at and enthusiast of AI-assisted development in Python, Go, or Java; expert at SQL and db design; data modeling, transformation and validation; statistical analysis
• SDLC/DevOps tooling: GitLab, CI, Jira; Metrics frameworks (DORA, SPACE); Cloud data stack (AWS/GCP/Azure); warehousing (BigQuery/Redshift/Snowflake); custom web dashboards (React/Node)

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Instrumenting quality/reliability signals, metric taxonomy, lineage, metadata catalogs; dbt or similar transformations
• Executive UX/product sense; data storytelling; outcome-focused OKRs
• Executive communication, stakeholder management and mentoring
