As a Principal Engineer – ACOS, we look towards you as an expert with deep understanding of components of scalable and distributed application architecture.  You would be responsible for
For owning up a module / area in the Product architecture.
Taking the lead & clarifying the technical requirement for new features.
Create a module design which are feasible to implement in given time with quality. Getting necessary approval to move ahead.
Hands-on Implementation of the most critical/Complex tasks (Bugs/Enhancements/Features).
Build the Lab Topology to do quick PoCs as & when needed.
Guide & Mentor, the new joiners in the team. 
Team Covers following Areas of the ACOS Platform:
Logging infrastructure (syslog, CEF, LEEF, etc)
Metrics infrastructure (netflow, sflow, kafka, acos counter libraries and apis, etc.)
Log and metrics integrations (with Harmony/Kafka, Prometheus, Azure monitor, AWS Cloudwatch, vRealize, Fluentd, Splunk, QRadar, etc)
Harmony (Management Plane) integrations (registrations, saas tunnel)
ZBAR (adaptive attack rate limiting for ADC)
Call Home

Expert C programmer with knowledge in development with Linux, RTOS or similar real-time high availability Embedded Operating Systems
GDB debugging skills
Python programming
Knowledge in networking products, OSI stack, L2/L3, L4 and load balancers
TCP/IP, UDP/IP, Socket Programming, and common standard IP protocols such as ICMP
Good knowledge in algorithms and data structures.
Control plane and data plane architecture in networking devices
Source Control System tools such as CVS/SVN/Git to develop code
Experience with or Knowledge of Kubernetes and Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, OCI, etc
Ability to work in large code-base and navigate through complicated code, integrate 3rd party software in the code and make it work.

Skills Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in C and/or C++ programming languages.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
• Knowledge of software development principles such as OOP, design patterns, and clean code practices.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
•  
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Must understand the company's long-term vision and align with it.
• Should be able to identify problems, generate effective solutions, and troubleshoot issues that may arise while working on complex projects.
• Must Display Adaptability to changing circumstances, new technology, and shifting priorities.

Qualifications 

• 11-12 years of work experience in relevant field
• B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred
