Job Purpose
We are seeking a SAP Sales (SD) Business Analyst who will act as an intermediary between sales, distribution, customer service stakeholders, and technical teams. This position is responsible for analyzing sales and distribution processes, gathering requirements, and translating them into SAP SD solutions. The role involves understanding sales business needs, order-to-cash processes, pricing strategies, and customer management requirements, ensuring SAP SD implementations are aligned with company objectives. The candidate should have both business knowledge and SAP technical expertise and will assist Datwyler in troubleshooting complex issues and implementing system enhancements to meet changing business requirements.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
System Design & Implementation

• Collaborate with colleagues and business stakeholders to assess sales processes and translate business requirements into effective technical SAP solutions.
• Design, configure, and implement SAP Sales and Distribution modules across diverse business units and countries, with expertise in configuring enterprise structure, sales documents, pricing, item categories, credit management, and related functionalities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including functional specifications, test scripts, and user manuals.
• Support system upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

System Integration & Technical Support

• Configure and manage integration points between SAP SD and FI/CO, MM, PP, as well as external systems such as CRM, EDI, and e-commerce platforms.
• Establish and optimize interfaces for electronic data interchange (EDI), including IDOC configuration and monitoring.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues by analyzing root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Facilitate mass data maintenance activities utilizing LSMW, batch input, and standard SAP tools.

User Support & Knowledge Transfer

• Deliver expert support for complex SAP SD transactions and address escalated technical issues effectively.
• Develop technical training materials and provide system configuration training to junior team members.
• Prepare and update system user guides, configuration documentation, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Liaise with external consultants and vendors on specialized projects when necessary.

Strategic Initiatives

• Contribute to S/4HANA implementations and support the successful and timely delivery of projects.
• Assist with integration initiatives involving other systems and applications.
• Participate in cross-functional projects that influence customer service processes.

Skills & Technical Competences & Behaviors

• 5-10 years of hands-on SAP SD configuration, with expertise in pricing, sales, delivery, and billing.
• Knowledge of integration with other SAP modules (MM, FI/CO) and external systems.
• Strong grasp of order-to-cash processes and SAP technical implementation.
• Experience with complex pricing, rebate processing, and revenue recognition.
• Familiarity with logistics, shipping, transportation, and warehouse integration.
• Understanding of credit/risk management and financial integration.
• Ability to deliver robust, scalable solutions focused on system performance.
• Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments and shifting priorities.
• Effective team player across global teams.
• Dedicated to staying current with SAP updates and best practices.

Preferred qualifications

• SAP certification in Sales and Distribution.
• Experience with S/4HANA Sales and advanced SD features.
• Knowledge of Fiori apps and GUI customization.
• Bachelors in IT, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or related field.
