Job Summary

Fugen Webtech looking for an experienced and highly motivated Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable server-side applications. A key part of this role will be leveraging your expertise in both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase) databases, as well as integrating Web Sockets for real-time features. Furthermore, a strong background in DevOps practices is essential to streamline our CI/CD pipeline and ensure robust deployment and monitoring of our microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

Backend Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable and efficient backend services and RESTful APIs using and
• Implement and manage real-time communication features using Web Sockets (e.g., Socket.IO) for interactive applications.
• Manage data storage and integrity across diverse database systems, including MySQL (Relational SQL), MongoDB (NoSQL Document), and Firebase (Real-time Database/Authentication).
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Ensure application security, performance, and reliability, including authentication (JWT, OAuth) and data protection.

DevOps, Deployment & Operations

• Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of microservices.
• Manage and deploy applications on Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Develop monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to proactively identify and resolve production issues.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform) is a plus.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• 1+ years of professional experience in backend development with
• Expert proficiency with the framework.
• Proven experience working with both relational and non-relational databases: MySQL, MongoDB, and experience with cloud-based solutions like Firebase.
• Strong practical experience implementing and maintaining Web Sockets for high-volume, real-time applications.
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices, including version control with Git (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket), code reviews, and unit/integration testing (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Chai).

DevOps Competencies

• Hands-on experience with Docker for containerizing applications.
• Familiarity with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux and shell scripting for deployment and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with other frameworks like NestJS or Koa.
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
