About the Role:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior iOS Developer to join our mobile team.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge Android application with excellent performance, usability, and scalability.

As a senior team member, you'll also play a key role in mentoring junior developers and contributing to architectural decisions.

In addition to hands-on development, this role involves contributing to architectural decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and regularly reporting progress to key stakeholders and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced iOS applications using Swift (and Objective-C), and or cross-platform frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React Native).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end features and define app functionality.
  • Write clean, modular, testable, and scalable code using modern architectures (e.g., MVVM, VIPER).
  • Architect scalable and maintainable codebases with a focus on performance, reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Integrate with RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and services such as Firebase and analytics platforms.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold coding standards.
  • Optimise applications for speed, scalability, and performance using profiling and other tools.
  • Stay updated with the latest mobile development trends, tools, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Prepare and present technical updates and reports to engineering managers and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in agile teams including planning, estimation and sprint reviews in fast-paced environments.
  • Prior experience in reporting technical progress to leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in mobile development
  • Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Deep expertise with SwiftUI, Objective C and new iOS architecture trends.
  • Exposure to BLE, Push Notifications, In-App Purchases, and background services.
  • Familiarity with analytics, A/B testing, and feature flagging.
  • Experience with mobile analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or mobile development communities.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in mobile development.
  • Strong understanding of UIKit, SwiftUI, AutoLayout, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Experience with Core Data, Combine, Concurrency (GCD/async-await), and networking frameworks (e.g., URLSession, Alamofire).
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks (e.g., XCTest, XCUITest).
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitrise, Fastlane).
  • Experience with Apple App Store submission process and app lifecycle.
  • Experience with cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter or React Native is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, performance optimisation and best practices.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and mobile backend integration.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
